A: Generally our pants are made for children with a very low BMI (Body Mass Index). Typically, they will fit a child with a BMI in the 15% and lower. Our pants are made extra slim in the leg and hip.
Q: Why can’t I order by age?
A: There are two answers to this question:
1) All children come in different shapes in sizes at different ages. Many of our customers are small for their age; this can be emotional for children (and parents) to wear a size different than their age.
2) Our pants are not like most brands. For example, we pair a size 3T with a 5T length. This would require custom tags for every size of pant; sizing by color is a more cost-effective solution. Plus, measuring helps ensure a more accurate fit.

My son is as tall as a 4yo but his waist is still less than that of a 2yo. These are the only pants that fit him without looking like he’s MC Hammer. I’m grateful for the second chance pants, too.

I recall like the shorts. The only improvement needed is for the shirts to have elastic waist. May younger children have trouble with fasteners. Denim shorts with an elastic waist would be ideal .

My little guy was born with very little body fat, and at 16 months old he's still long and skinny. Most pairs of pants that are long enough to cover his legs just fall off of him! He's destined to be a string bean, by genetics, plus his IUGR diagnosis before birth. He was in size 18 pants for length but size 12 pants for waist and even "slim fit" pants were too baggy! We just tried the Yellow size and it's perfect. I love that there are clearly defined cuffs so I can roll them up if I need to, which he's starting out with. As he grows taller but not much wider, I'll unroll the cuffs and get TWO sizes out of each one before having to size up! They are thick and high quality fabrics that feel soft enough for his skin.

These shorts are great. My son doesn't have to wear baggy shorts or shorts that fit in the waist and are really short. When he was five the daycare sent him home in his little brother's shorts (a size 18 Month).
